iShuttle employs a thorough applicant screening process for new hires and a rigorous training program before putting our drivers on the road with passengers.

 

Pre Employment

Our driver application requirements are:

  • Possess a valid LA driver’s license with proper endorsements
  • Be licensed as a Chauffeur or CDL driver for at least two full years.
  • Have a clean driving record

Our employment screening includes:

  • DOT National CDL database license check
  • Local personal license check
  • Criminal Background Checks, including a check of the Sex Offender Registry
  • Verification of current Medical Examiners Certificate
  • Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Professional Reference Verification

Upon Hire:

  • PAX Professional Chauffeur Training Certification
  • PASS (Passenger Assistance, Safety and Sensitivity) Training Certification
  • An overview of company policies, driver handbook, and workplace safety program.
  • Customer relations Training
  • HIPPA Training
  • Special Assistance Training and
  • Fire Extinguisher Use and Emergency
  • Evacuation Procedures
  • Use of Wheelchair lifts/ramps and Restraints
  • Inclement Weather Driving
  • Pre/Post Trip Inspection Training
  • Ongoing Driver Development
